Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our Android navigation team. In this role, you will contribute to building high-performance navigation applications using Kotlin and Jetpack components, with a strong focus on Navigation SDKs for routing, map rendering, and navigation functionality. You will work in an agile, cross-functional environment where your expertise in Clean Architecture, system integration, and performance optimization will be key to delivering reliable and scalable solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack components.
- Integrate Navigation SDK features such as routing, navigation, and map rendering into applications.
- Optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration across platforms.
- Apply Clean Architecture principles, including unit testing and code quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver features.
- Mentor and coach junior developers, supporting team skill growth and knowledge sharing.
- Participate actively in agile workflows, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and code reviews.
Who You Are
You are a proactive and strategic Android developer with a passion for navigation systems and high-performance applications. You thrive in collaborative, agile teams, and enjoy mentoring others, tackling complex technical challenges, and making thoughtful design decisions. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and are hands-on — not afraid to test and develop code directly on our trucks to deliver best-in-class navigation solutions.
Your Skills and Expertise:
- Core Architecture & Development: Strong grasp of Clean Architecture, MVVM, and SOLID principles; expert in Kotlin and Jetpack components (Compose, ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation).
- Navigation & Mapping: Deep understanding of routing algorithms, map rendering, location services, offline maps, and turn-by-turn guidance; hands-on with Map SDKs and traffic APIs.
- Performance & Optimization: Experience in system integration, memory management, profiling tools (Android Profiler, LeakCanary), and optimizing startup time for large-scale apps.
- CI/CD & Agile: Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), Gradle optimization, multi-flavor/multi-brand builds, and agile/Scrum workflows (Jira, Confluence).
- Testing & Quality: Skilled in unit, instrumentation, and UI automation testing (JUnit, Espresso), snapshot testing for multi-brand UI consistency, and ensuring high code quality.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of internationalization/localization, dynamic theming, design systems for multi-brand UX, and strong communication and leadership for cross-functional collaboration.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experiences and perspectives are valuable to us.
