Project Procurement Manager

Are you an experienced and business-driven Project Procurement Manager looking for your next challenge in a high-tech, global environment? We are now looking for a consultant for an exciting assignment at Saab in Solna, starting in April. You will be employed by Poolia and work on-site at one of Sweden’s leading technology-driven companies, contributing to large-scale and complex projects with significant impact.

About the position In the role as Project Procurement Manager, you will take full ownership of procurement activities within major projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality requirements. You will play a key role in driving and executing procurement strategies in a project-based environment where technical complexity and business acumen go hand in hand.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and executing comprehensive procurement strategies for large-scale projects
• Managing the full procurement lifecycle – from needs assessment and supplier selection to contract negotiation, administration, and follow-up
• Leading complex negotiations for high-value, global contracts, ensuring optimal commercial terms and risk allocation
• Proactively identifying and qualifying suppliers, monitoring performance, and implementing risk mitigation strategies
• Acting as the main interface between procurement and key stakeholders such as engineering, legal, finance, and project management
• Providing structured reporting on procurement status, cost performance, and supplier metrics to project leadership

This is a consultancy assignment with employment at Poolia, carried out on-site at Saab in Solna, with start in April.

Reponsibilities We are looking for a strategic and analytical professional with a strong business mindset and a passion for driving projects to successful completion. You thrive in complex environments and are comfortable navigating global supplier landscapes and cross-functional stakeholder groups.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• Several years of experience in strategic or project-based procurement
• Solid experience managing procurement in large, complex projects
• Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Proven experience sourcing complex systems (e.g., IT infrastructure, defense systems, or large-scale technical equipment)
• Extensive experience in RFP management, contract strategy, and contract administration within a project environment
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage high-value, complex agreements
• Outstanding communication and influencing skills
• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Economics, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• Project management certification (such as PMP) is considered an advantage

Experience from technology-driven industries and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously is highly desirable.
