Head Chef
Are you ready to take on a key leadership role in a full-service hotel with five unique restaurants?
We are now looking for an experienced Head Chef to our hotel Radisson Blu in Trysil to lead and develop our five diverse food outlets. This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment, where guest satisfaction, food quality, and strong team leadership are always in focus.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the daily operations, performance, and development of our kitchens. You will lead and coach your team towards shared goals, ensure the highest standards of food quality, and work closely with our Restaurant Manager and leadership team to deliver an outstanding guest experience. Success in this role requires clear leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance creativity with commercial results.
You will lead the kitchen team with the support of our Food & Beverage Manager. To thrive in this position, it is important that you are well-organized, structured, and passionate about food and people.
Main responsibilities and tasks
- Lead, inspire, and develop kitchen teams across five outlets – including recruitment, training, workforce planning, and ensuring quality in daily operations.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure that each outlet consistently delivers high-quality food that meets and exceeds guest expectations, in line with Radisson standards.
- Responsible for menu planning and the development of innovative restaurant concepts.
- Streamline purchasing of food and supplies and implement smart scheduling to maximize staff satisfaction while staying within budget.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and sustainability goals.
- Together with the F&B Manager, take ownership of the kitchen’s financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Collaborate closely with restaurant and other departments to create a seamless guest journey and strong overall experience.
To succeed in this role, we believe it is beneficial if you meet the following requirements:
- You have several years of experience in a senior kitchen management role.
- You are a passionate leader with a proven track record of building, motivating, and developing teams.
- You have an strong understanding of food quality, consistency, and the link between guest experience and financial results.
- You are commercially minded, organized, and results-driven with the ability to work with plans in the longer run and as well as hands-on day to day planning.
- You are comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
