AI Research Scientist (LLM)

About the Role

We are seeking an AI Consultant to support ongoing client projects focused on large language model (LLM) systems and agent-based applications. The role involves working closely with international clients, including Chinese-speaking stakeholders, to design and deliver scalable AI solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop LLM-based systems and agentic workflows for real-world applications
• Build and integrate components such as retrieval pipelines, tool usage, and orchestration layers
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored AI solutions
• Evaluate system performance, robustness, and usability in production environments
• Contribute to technical documentation, internal research, and, where relevant, preparation of publications or technical reports

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Experience working with machine learning systems or AI applications
• Experience with large language models (LLMs), agent-based systems, or similar technologies
• Proficiency in Python and relevant frameworks
• Ability to work independently in a consulting environment and interact with clients
• Trackable research experience with publications

Meritorious

• Experience with system integration, APIs, or production deployment
• Experience working with international or multilingual projects
• Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills (e.g., Chinese/Mandarin) are considered a merit
