Business Analyst- Engineering ECM
We are looking for a Business Analyst- Engineering ECM for a company in Södertälje. Start is January 7th, 2 years contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Södertälje.
As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the agile delivery organisation responsible for developing and maintaining Scania’s CAD/vPDM platform. You act as the bridge between business and IT, gathering and translating user needs into clear requirements. Your main assignment is to support the transition to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, replacing the current CATIA/ENOVIA V5 environment.
Focus Area – 3DEXPERIENCE Engineering Change Management (ECM):
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and support methods and processes within 3DEXPERIENCE –ECM, ensuring consistency and quality in Scania’s product data handling. The work includes defining and improving how the system manages:
- Maturity: securing correct product status through the design lifecycle.
- Lifecycle: structuring how data evolves from creation to release.
- Version Management: ensuring traceability and alignment across product revisions.
- Change Note Information: supporting structured documentation of engineering changes.
- Review and Approve Flow: enabling controlled review and release of product data.
You will collaborate closely with process owners, system developers, and designers to ensure that methods and tools align with Clients way of working and standards.
Education:
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Business.
- Familiarity with the product development process and PLM/CAD systems (preferably 3DEXPERIENCE from Dassault Systèmes) is an advantage.
This role requires fluency in both English and Swedish.
Meriting:
• CATIA V5 or similar design experience
• 3DX – Technical Documentation / Mechanical Design
• Experience as a Business Analyst and with agile methods
Scope of Work: You will be involved in engineering tasks related to product development, design validation, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
