VIL Rig Engineer

You will join an operational test team in the automotive industry, working with Vehicle in the Loop (VIL) rigs in a dynamic and evolving environment. The assignment combines rig operations with troubleshooting, testing and planning, with a strong focus on maintaining reliable test environments and enabling efficient usage through structured ways of working.

• Operate and support VIL rigs as part of the operational team.
• Perform hands-on testing within basetech areas such as SWDL, diagnostics and gateway-related testing.
• Analyze logs using tools such as CANoe, Wireshark and DLT.
• Carry out basic electrical fault tracing in test environments.
• Contribute to complete vehicle testing activities.
• Support planning and coordination of rig usage.

• Hands-on experience in basetech testing, including SWDL, diagnostics and gateway-related testing.
• Experience with log analysis in CANoe, Wireshark and DLT.
• Basic electrical fault tracing skills in test environments.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience.
• Deep understanding of CAN, LIN and Ethernet protocols.
• Knowledge of Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
• Valid Swedish driver license.
• Experience from complete vehicle testing.

• Knowledge of continuous integration.
• Knowledge of baseline and binary management.
• Experience with general test automation.
