About X Shore and the role

X Shore is a Swedish company that develops and manufactures fully electric boats with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality. In the modern factory in Nyköping, the company works with advanced composite and carbon fiber production. As a Composite Assembler, you will be part of the Layup-team, working with the manufacturing of composite components for the company’s boats, such as hulls, decks, and other load-bearing structures where precision and quality are critical.

This assignment is part of our staffing services. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at X Shore for six months. The intention is that, if all parties are satisfied with the collaboration, you may be offered direct employment with X Shore in the long term. Responsibilities 

As a Composite Assembler, you will work hands-on with the manufacturing of composite components. The work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues in the team.

You will, among other things:

• Prepare and maintain composite molds, including mold care and application of release agent
• Work with composite materials in molds according to instructions and work procedures
• Perform layup of materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other composites
• Cut, place, and pack materials with high precision
• Remove air and ensure correct lamination
• Participate in vacuum processes and curing of composite parts
• Perform quality control of your own work
• Contribute to continuous improvement in production
• Work according to 5S principles and help maintain a safe, clean, and structured workplace

What we are looking for 

We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has an interest in craftsmanship, quality, and production. You are detail-oriented and structured, with a strong eye for precision and motivation to see the results of your work. You take responsibility, enjoy learning new tasks, and ensure high-quality output. You are a team player who contributes with engagement and a positive attitude. You enjoy collaborating toward common goals while also taking responsibility for your own tasks.

The work takes place in a production environment with hands-on tasks, which requires good physical ability. You also have good English skills, both spoken and written.

We welcome both candidates with previous experience in composite work and those who want to learn the trade from scratch. For us, the right attitude, willingness to develop, and a strong sense of quality are just as important as experience.

Meritorious 

• Experience in composite work or similar manufacturing within industries such as marine, automotive, aerospace, or wind power
• Knowledge of carbon fiber, pre-preg materials, vacuum techniques, and mold care
• Relevant education in composites or industrial production
• Driving license: B and good knowledge of Swedish

Location: Nyköping, Sweden

Working hours: Initially daytime. Shift work may be introduced as production expands, so flexibility regarding shift work in the future is appreciated
