The Finance Graduate Program
If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Finance function and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 12 intense months, you will get an end-to-end perspective of our Finance functions and how we co-drive the business, both from a local as well as from a Volvo Group perspective. From day one, you will have a permanent role in one of our organizations, where you will play an active role in daily deliveries. In parallel, you will participate in a number of common training weeks with the other Finance graduates throughout the year, do various job rotations to increase your insights of the Volvo Group and last but not least you will grow as a person. Your professional and personal growth will be supported through individual and team development sessions, mentoring, coaching and feedback.
You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business, which will help you get a holistic view and build your future career within the Volvo Group. Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. Our Organization - Group Trucks Technology
Group Trucks Technology is the main R&D organization within Volvo Group, responsible for all technology in the three truck brands Volvo, Renault and Mack as well as for platform solutions used in Volvo Construction Equipment, Buses and Penta. This is where it happens, the product development that will take Volvo Group to 100% fossil free vehicles in 2040!
Your Future Team
You are part of Controlling & Product Finance and will be a member of one of the controlling teams that serve as business partners to the various Engineering functions. Your role involves providing tailored business analysis and financial guidance to optimize the performance of the functions and R&D portfolios. Globally, we have around 200 colleagues working with finance-related topics such as business controllers, product finance engineers, cost engineers and finance project managers. Around 100 of them are based in Gothenburg. It's a fantastic environment for personal growth, surrounded by supportive and skilled colleagues who are great to learn from and have fun with!
How you will make an impact
You will work with financial reporting and analysis for your engineering function, both from a project and from a department perspective. With an open and positive attitude, you drive to improve! Your ability to communicate and to work with people on different levels in the organization is essential.
Your focus will be to:
• Support and challenge R&D projects in making cost estimates and analysis in front of business decisions
• Provide expense rolling forecasts
• Secure month end closing deliveries
• Managing internal invoicing, accruals, and other transactional activities related to projects
• Work with continuous improvements, secure continued digitalization
• Conducting ad hoc financial analysis
• Be an active member of the global Controlling & Product Finance team

Required knowledge/experience:
• You have a BSc or MSc degree in Finance, Business, Industrial Engineering, or similar fields.
• In this truly global program communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English
• A maximum of two years of previous full-time working experience prior to or after graduation. Work during studies is not included.
• A valid work or study permit for the country to which you apply (if not a citizen).
