Data Engineer Consultant

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer Consultant to join a forward-thinking cross-functional team delivering innovative data solutions within the Defence domain.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products supporting critical business and operational needs. You will work closely with a highly skilled agile team focused on delivering advanced data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build robust ETL pipelines
• Develop scalable data products and architectures
• Work with modern Lakehouse and Medallion architectures
• Ensure data quality, testing, and reliability
• Collaborate within agile cross-functional teams
• Contribute to cloud-based data platform solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with data modeling
• Hands-on experience with PySpark and ETL development
• Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms
• Knowledge of Delta Tables, Parquet files, and S3 architecture
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with data quality frameworks and testing
• Comfortable working in agile environments
