Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and execute test strategies to ensure the quality, functionality, and safety of embedded software within vehicle comfort, body, and base applications
- Conduct tests for ECUs and embedded control systems in domains such as Body & Visibility Functions and Comfort & Cab Functions
- Design, automate, and execute test cases across the entire verification chain — from requirements review and test design to execution, analysis, and reporting
- Develop automated test flows and scripts, primarily using Python
- Utilize HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) environments for embedded system testing
- Analyze test results, identify deviations, and document findings in alignment with project and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with software developers, systems engineers, and function owners to ensure test coverage and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the enhancement of test environments, tools, and methods for improved efficiency and reliability
What you bring:
- Engineering degree in electronics, computer engineering, or mechatronics
- Proven experience in testing embedded systems and ECUs
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting (advantageous)
- Hands-on experience with CANoe, Vector tools, or equivalent test environments
- Solid understanding of in-vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
- Experience working with HIL systems (e.g., dSPACE) and test automation frameworks is an advantage
- Truck driving license or a strong interest in trucks is considered a plus
- Structured, analytical, and collaborative mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
