Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Quality/RAMS/DfAM Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Analyze the build of BESS to identify product improvements for aftermarket applications.
• Clearly document deficiencies and areas for enhancement.
• Propose and implement design improvements for aftermarket without compromising build quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop new designs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes within mechanical design.
• Define RAMS objectives and establish RAMS plans for assigned systems.
• Ensure accurate estimation of RAMS activities and perform comprehensive RAMS analyses.
• Develop and review test specifications and ensure proper execution of testing.
• Design mechanical solutions according to functional, geometric, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support mechanical design engineering activities, integrating inputs from other teams.
• Ensure design deliverables meet business targets and requirements.
• Contribute to product and system roadmaps, business development, and innovation initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with universities and external institutes within your technical area.
• Mentor and develop team members while leading complex group tasks and projects.

What you bring:

• A specialist-level background in mechanical engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to design technical solutions across mechanical domains with attention to function, style, volume, geometry, costs, and quality.
• Experience in design for aftermarket, RAMS analysis, and continuous improvement processes.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and contribute beyond your immediate scope within a large organization.
• Solid T-shaped profile with demonstrable expert knowledge and broad-based mechanical engineering skills.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members, promoting lifelong learning.
• Willingness and ability to travel between Skövde and Arendal (Göteborg) as required.
