Design Engineer - Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems

As a design engineer in our section, you will not only develop individual components, you will design and develop parts in a complex system that requires balancing of multiple requirements and properties.

We develop aftertreatment housings, chassis suspension, sensor installation, and inlet/outlet piping. You will be involved throughout the development process, from early concept phases to industrialization. Delivering solutions that meet performance, durability, and emission requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop aftertreatment components (sheet metal, cast iron, welding)
• Work closely with engineering disciplines, including acoustics, strength and durability, simulation, sensor systems, and emissions performance to balancing of properties
• Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to ensure technical quality in prototypes and industrialization
• Our products are used by all TRATON brands, so global collaboration is part of daily work

Who You Are

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience working with CATIA
• A few years of experience in product development
• Knowledge of the product development process (One PDP)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written). Swedish is a plus.
