Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Transport to support a major IT transformation focused on building a modern, scalable, end-to-end logistics platform. This initiative includes the implementation of a new ERP system, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and an enhanced Transport Management System (TMS) landscape.
In this role, you will act as a critical link between business operations and IT, ensuring that transport and logistics requirements are effectively translated into functional, sustainable system solutions. You will collaborate closely with operations teams, product owners, and solution architects to drive improvements in transport processes, planning, and data management.
The position requires a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to structure complex information, design efficient workflows, and contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and structure business requirements related to transport and logistics operations
- Translate operational needs into clear and actionable functional specifications for TMS solutions
- Develop and refine transport and logistics processes for both current and future-state operations
- Ensure requirements are well-documented, traceable, and aligned with stakeholder expectations
- Partner with architects and product teams to shape functional designs and system capabilities
- Ensure TMS solutions integrate seamlessly with ERP and WMS systems, including alignment with master data and information models
- Create detailed user stories and support agile development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment and value delivery
- Facilitate workshops, discussions, and demonstrations to validate requirements and solutions
- Engage with internal stakeholders, transport planners, and external partners to drive collaboration
- Contribute to test planning, execution of acceptance testing, and quality assurance processes
- Analyze transport and logistics data to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives and performance expectations
- Support the organization’s large-scale IT transformation by contributing to end-to-end system design
- Assist in the rollout of new processes and systems through training and change management activities
- Drive adoption of new ways of working within transport and logistics functions
Total Years of Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis within logistics, supply chain, or transport domains
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field
Required Skills:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in logistics or transport environments
- In-depth knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Understanding of transport processes, order flows, planning, and master data management
- Experience working on transformation or system implementation projects
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with FMCG, wholesale, or grocery logistics (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
