Business Controller - Marine Business Unit

What you will do

At Volvo Penta, we are looking for a Business Controller to support and drive financial performance within our Marine Business Unit. In this role, you will be an important part of the finance organization, contributing to accurate reporting, strong financial follow-up, and fact-based decision-making.

You will play an active role in monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. By providing clear insights and recommendations, you will help the business understand performance, identify risks and opportunities, and take the right actions moving forward.

You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting structures, and ways of working. This includes participating in finance-related initiatives and supporting improvements that strengthen quality, efficiency, and business value.

Your future team

You will be part of the finance team supporting Volvo Penta’s Marine Business Unit, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.

The team operates in a global and cross-functional environment where collaboration, accuracy, and business understanding are key. Together, we support the business with financial insights and contribute to Volvo Penta’s continued development and performance.

Who are you?

You are analytical, structured, and proactive, with a strong interest in understanding business performance through numbers. You enjoy working close to the business and turning financial data into clear and actionable insights.

We believe you have:

• A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or similar
• Experience from business control or financial analysis, preferably in a multinational environment
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and financial reporting
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
• A structured, solution-oriented approach with attention to detail

You are comfortable collaborating with different stakeholders, and you contribute with curiosity, integrity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
